Week 6 Term 4 reflection
Week 6 Term 4 reflection
One thing I have enjoyed this week is playing Frisbee with my PE class. This week I've learned the 10 elements of the periodic table. Next week, I'm looking forward to splash planets.
I learn best when I'm in a quiet zone with minimal noise. I don't learn best when I'm in a loud zone with plenty of distractions. Something I'd like to learn is more elements of the periodic table.
I work well with people who I know will carry there weight and can get down to business. One thing I want to work on next week is bringing full gear to P.E.

Beach Day
Beach Day
Yesterday, my class SWL, took the college van went to the beach to visit Otaki Surf Lifesaving Club. We were greeted by Cassie, Damien, Lisa and Kristy. We took a tour around the lower half of the building since the top half was being used.We left our bags in the bathrooms and went into some of the gear shed's that contained Knee boards, Ski's and a lot more. One of the sheds contained an IRB which stands for Inflatable Rescue Boat.
After we learned about first aid. We were put into 4 different groups and we all participated in a amazing race.
We would be given a clue to find a location, and would be given a challenge to complete and would be given clue to the next one until we got to the end. My group came second and we had a lot of fun completing the challenges.
In the same groups, we went down to the beach and tried to pick up as much rubbish as we could. We went to the right of the beach, and ended filling our plastic bag one quarter full. We did have to go back since one of my team mates lost their phone and we helped them find it.
It was to cold and windy to swim in the beach so we ended up going to the pools. We played gang tag, ball tag and my personal favourites, piggy back relay and volleyball.
After everyone had gotten changed, we walked back to school and just stayed in class having free time. Overall, I had a lot of fun doing all the cool activities at the pools and at the Otaki Surf Lifesaving club.

I next week I'd like to work on is my ability to describe graphs. Something I'm looking forward to is going to the beach. I'm grateful for the new poi in my Kapa Haka group.

Assembly Performance.
Assembly Performance.
At assembly, a man called Mr Fungus performed to us as the loudest mime. He came from out of the crowd and started hysterically laughing. He eventually made his way on stage and performed some acts in front of us.
He used lots of different props like a suitcase, balloons some juggling balls and some odd items here and there.
Antonio was pulled from the audience and did some balloon tricks with Mr Fungus multiple times. At the end of each and every action he did, he would make us, the audience, clap and cheer profusely.
At the end, Mr Fungus thanked the audience and applauded everyone who helped him with his performance and even made a balloon crown for Antonio.
